Anti-corruption activist Anna Hazare on Friday accused the Central government of “betrayal” on the Lokpal Bill and threatened to launch a fresh agitation on the issue at the Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi later this year. “After the Parliament passed a resolution in favour of a strong Lokpal Bill, the Prime Minister had given us a written assurance that our grievances would be heard and a strong and effective Lokpal would be formed. Two years have passed since,” he said. The veteran Gandhian activist was talking to reporters in Allahabad, where he halted for a brief while on his way to Rewa in Madhya Pradesh. He kicked off the fifth phase of his nationwide Jantantra Yatra from MP. “This is an act of betrayal on part of the government which is refusing to fulfil the promises it made to the nation. We shall not take it lying down. I have decided to launch a fresh stir in Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan. The dates are yet to be finalized but probably it would be around October-November,” he said. Mr. Hazare urged workers of India Against Corruption to help those candidates win in elections who had a clean character, even if it meant supporting independents, an IAC worker said. ALLAHABAD, JULY 5: Accusing the Centre of “betrayal” on the Lokpal Bill, anti-corruption activist Anna Hazare today threatened to launch a fresh stir at Ramlila ground in Delhi later this year to raise the pitch over the issue. “After the Parliament had passed a resolution in favour of a strong Lokpal Bill, the Prime Minister had given us a written assurance that our concerns would be addressed and a strong and effective Ombudsman would be in place. Two years have elapsed since then,” Hazare told presspersons here. “This is an act of betrayal on the part of the Government which is refusing to fulfil its promise to the nation,” the Gandhian, who made a brief halt in the city while on his way to Rewa in neighbouring Madhya Pradesh, said. “We will not take it lying down. I have decided to launch a fresh stir at the Ramlila ground in Delhi. The date has not been finalised yet, but it would most probably be in October-November. “We will compel the insensitive political establishment to pay heed to the voice of the nation,” Hazare added. Hazare’s 12-day-long fast at the Ramlila Ground in August 2011 had received international attention and eventually led to a resolution being passed during a special session of the Parliament wherein it had agreed in principle on some of the suggestions made by the anti-graft activist and his associates. लगातार 33 वें साल अमेरिका में इंडिया डे परेड का आयोजन किया गया। यह परेड हर साल भारत की आजादी की खुशी में निकाली जाती है जिसमें हजारों की सख्या में भारतीय और भारतवंशी हिस्सा लेते हैं। मैनहेटन में निकाली गई इस परेड की अगुवाई समाज सेवी अन्ना हजारे ने की, इस परेड में कई जानी मानी हस्तियों समेत बॉलीवुड सितारों ने भी शिरकत की। अभिनेत्री विद्या बालन इस परेड की ग्रांड मार्शल बनीं।इस परेड के दौरान पूरा मैनहैटन भारतीय रंग में रंगा नजर आया। ऐसा ही कुछ नजारा न्यूजर्सी और न्यूयॉर्क में देखने को मिला।

प्रशिक्षण शिविर
